How old do I have to be to come shoot pool?Buckland Billiards is a 21 and over establishment. You must be 21 with a valid form of ID. If you look younger than 40 (at a minimum), we will require you to show a valid ID. This means a State Issued ID, passport, or Military ID. We do NOT accept paper IDs even if provided by the DMV (unless you have your old ID with it) and we NEVER accept an image of your ID. MINOR CHILDREN (anybody under 21 years old) may come into our establishment ONLY with their legal parent or guardian and will be asked to not sit in the bar area.

How much does it cost to play pool?We do NOT charge by the hour, we charge by the person. Prior to 7pm, we charge $7 per person for unlimited time. After 7pm, it is only $8 per person for unlimited time, however we cap the cost at $27.50 per rack (table). So if you are here with a group of 4 or more, YOU SAVE! Special deals for league players as well as industry staff. Ask your bartenders about them.

Do I need to have an ID to come to the pool hall? The short answer is yes. Although we are a pool hall, due to the type of liquor permit we have, you must be 21 to be here without your parent present. The state of CT requires us to ask for IDs for anybody who looks under the age of 40 and on the weekends, we have a doorman enforcing this. Note: Expired IDs, the DMV temporary ID (the piece of paper they give you), DoC IDs or photos of your ID ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE per the State of CT Liquor Commission. We will not accept them. Please have your valid, state issued photo ID present when you arrive. Thank you

Can we call ahead to reserve tables?Due to the fact that we are quite busy, especially from October through May, we typically do NOT reserve tables for anything less than groups of 15 or more people.

We would like to have a party there. Do you do anything special for parties? The short answer is maybe. If you are going to have a party with more than 15 people, we do take reservations. We will hold your tables for the time you requested (or ensure they are available by then). We also work with all groups to ensure that the tables are in the same area and accommodating. Food items are typically a la carte, but with enough notice, we can prep the food and work on a package deal. We just ask that all party members have their valid ID available and present when they come. We do allow parties to bring a cake (or cupcakes) seeing that is something we don't sell, but other than that, we do not allow outside food or beverages.

Can you smoke or vape there?Due to the fact that we sell food, both smoking and vaping are prohibited inside our establishment.
