Buckland Billiards is a 21 and over establishment. You must be 21 with a valid form of ID. If you look younger than 40 (at a minimum), we will require you to show a valid ID. This means a State Issued ID, passport, or Military ID. We do NOT accept paper IDs even if provided by the DMV (unless you have your old ID with it) and we NEVER accept an image of your ID.
MINOR CHILDREN (anybody under 21 years old) may come into our establishment ONLY with their legal parent or guardian and will be asked to not sit in the bar area.
We do NOT charge by the hour, we charge by the person.
Prior to 7pm, we charge $7 per person for unlimited time.
After 7pm, it is only $8 per person for unlimited time, however we cap the cost at $27.50 per rack (table). So if you are here with a group of 4 or more, YOU SAVE!
Special deals for league players as well as industry staff. Ask your bartenders about them.
As of the March 2025 , the best night of the week to come and ensure that there is probably an available table is Tuesdays or Sundays. Below is a schedule of our current leagues and how many tables they use up along with how many tables are available to the public.
Sundays: 18 tables available to the public
Mondays: APA Double Jeopardy uses 14 tables. Only 4 tables available to the public
Tuesdays: 18 tables available to the public.
Wednesdays: Master's League uses 14 until about 8/8:30pm. 4 available to the public until about 8/8:30, then additional tables (7+ will open up).
Thursdays: APA Double Jeopardy uses 14 tables. 4 available to the public.
Fridays: No leagues. All 18 tables available to the public.
Saturdays: Ladies league 3rd Sat of the month uses 10 tables from 4pm until about 8:30pm. 8 tables available at 4pm, all 18 tables available to the public after about 8:30pm.
The short answer is yes. Although we are a pool hall, due to the type of liquor permit we have, you must be 21 to be here without your parent present. The state of CT requires us to ask for IDs for anybody who looks under the age of 40 and on the weekends, we have a doorman enforcing this.
Note: Expired IDs, the DMV temporary ID (the piece of paper they give you), DoC IDs or photos of your ID ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE per the State of CT Liquor Commission. We will not accept them. Please have your valid, state issued photo ID present when you arrive.
Thank you
The short answer is maybe. If you are going to have a party with more than 15 people, we do take reservations. We will hold your tables for the time you requested (or ensure they are available by then).
We also work with all groups to ensure that the tables are in the same area and accommodating. Food items are typically a la carte, but with enough notice, we can prep the food and work on a package deal. We just ask that all party members have their valid ID available and present when they come.
We do allow parties to bring a cake (or cupcakes) seeing that is something we don't sell, but other than that, we do not allow outside food or beverages.
